Dear diary, Cafe Legal, Bergen, 2025

On International Women’s Day, (h)erotic artists Sasha Salin and Lise Bøgh presented their performance “Dear Diary,”in which they read aloud entries from their 14-year-old selves. The piece created an intimate space where both performers revisited their teenage selves and confronted the layers of trauma and tenderness that shaped them. In doing so, the work highlighted how many of the struggles faced by feminine people in adolescence continue to echo today, quiet battles that often go unseen, yet remain deeply impactful.

“Dear Diary” was not only a personal excavation; it served as a platform for amplifying voices that are too often unheard. Through their collaboration, Salin and Bøgh actively resist patriarchal structures and push for conversations that still demand attention. Their performance marks just the beginning of their shared artistic journey. One that invites audiences to support, book, and share their work. Together, as their message insists, we become stronger.
